Herb and Cheese Scones

These herb and cheese scones are incredibly easy to make and so tasty. You might want to double the batch.


2 ½ Cups Flour (325 grams)

2 ½ Teaspoons Baking Powder

½ Teaspoon Salt

¾ Stick Butter (85 grams), Cold

1 Cup Cheddar Cheese - Use extra sharp cheddar for a flavorful scone

1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning

1 Teaspoon Dill

1 Teaspoon Thyme

¾ Cup Milk




1.     Preheat oven to 395 degrees

2.     In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.

3.     Add the cold butter and blend with a pastry cutter or knife until flour looks coarse and crumbly.

4.     Add the cheese and herbs and stir with fork.

5.     Add the milk and stir until the dough comes together. 

6.     Place dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out to 1 inch thickness.

7.     Use a 2.5-inch cutter to cut the dough and place them about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.

8.     Bake for 18-20 minutes until lightly browned.
